![]() ![]() On something like Ultra Hard, specialised outfits really help, but with the 3-4 slot Frozen Wilds outfits, you still have some room to hybridise a little due to the outfits high base stat & number of weave slots.Ĭorruption resist weaves are the most common weave you'll find. Probably up to Hard, it's something you can get away with if you don't want to be switching outfits more regularly. Regarding building an all-around outfit, it's a lot more feasible the lower in difficulty you go. A freeze resist outfit can also be good for shrugging off Glinthawk's freeze attacks. The most use I got from elemental resist outfits/weaves was vs Stormbirds & two of the machines you'll find in Frozen Wilds. Ranged damage is less frequently encountered, but against certain machines or clearing bandit camps (if not stealthing them), a ranged resist outft can help. ![]() Melee damage will tend to be the most frequent damage type you take, so a melee resist outfit certainly has its uses. But things can always go sideways, and thats when other outfit options are useful. It's probably best to make outfit purchases based one your gameplay experience.Ī stealth outfit is always going to be useful, and if you aren't being seen you aren't being damaged. Just trying to understand the choices I’m making here, since, outside of the really obvious stuff like bellowbacks and other fire/frost sources, it’s hard to determine even what type of damage a lot of stuff is. Is there a best “general use” armor to hang on to? Or should I be buying the maxed out single element resist suits, mod them with more of that element, and switch armor constantly? Or is there some specific mix of defenses that provides “good enough” coverage most of the time? (Say, fire resist armor with melee defense mods or something) ![]() Which outfits should I buy? How should I mod them? I don’t have much for great mods other than a few purple corruption resistance weaves. I just upgraded that to its heavy variant, but I’m thinking I should probably grab some defensive options too? But it seems like everything is either hyperspecialized, or offers no real defense at all. I bought the Nora medium stealth armor before the proving, and it’s served me well. So now it’s time to pay attention to armor. I finally have enough shards to get off the weapon treadmill for the most part (still don’t have a crystal braiding for that last sling upgrade though). I’m probably halfway through the game I think? (Just got out of Maker’s End, gonna help out what’s’is’name with the dead sister now before heading back East). ![]()
